Embarkation was fast & easy. We arrived at the port around 12:15 and were on the ship at the buffet around 1:00. It took a few minutes longer for us to check in because 2 of our children were with the in-laws & we needed to double check that they were on our ship board account. We had an aft balcony cabin. The room was clean & well kept all week. The first night we called for washcloths and an extra pillow. Received the pillow promptly, but had to wait until morning to get the washcloths. We met our room steward Jean the first day & really didn't see him afterward. We left notes if we needed anything & always received what we asked for. The room was always clean and when he made the beds up at night he always tucked my sons stuffed animal in his bed. Always had clean towels & washcloths. My only complaint would be that they needed to replace the shower curtain, in my opinion there was a little too much yuck(mold & mildew) at the bottom.

We didn't have any problems with food being cold. Usually just right. Buffet was adequate, but a variety of food wasn't available. Pretty standard fare. If you walked toward the aft of the ship the lines were shorter and there were more tables available. We liked the ones on the balcony. Dinners were good & our waiter Perdana was wonderful!(We had 1st seating in the l'biscus) He always took time to get our orders correct & was really great with our youngest son. He explained he could get us coffee, tea, water, soft drinks, or wine, but if we wanted a mixed drink he would send someone over to take that as it would be faster. Sure enough there were a couple of waitress's around all week to take your mixed drink orders. Food was served in a timely manner & was hot.

There were not a lot of activities aboard, but we didn't really want any. For us the cruise was to spend time together as a family and relax. That's exactly what we received. We loved the fact that there were others cruising with us from around the world & enjoyed people watching. We enjoyed the ports of call. We only took one excursion booked from the ship. It was well planned & organized.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8

We had an aft balcony(room 8222) There was a lot of cabin vibration, but it did not bother us. We slept great! The bed linens need to be updated, they were a little worn. But the towels were thick and new. Shower curtain needed replacing, had a little mold & mildew on bottom. Lots of closet & drawer space. Bathroom was adequate size & had lots of shelf & under cabinet storage. Balcony view wonderful! Plenty of room for all 4 of us, & 3 of us are pretty big. View from balcony spectacular, lots of sunrises & sunset!
