This was our 5th RCI cruise, and 2nd on Rhapsody. This ship is one of the smaller ones and can be quite quiet. We were in a group so made our own entertainment but there were mostly older people and some days the activities were lacking. Overall the ship is lovely. Looking slightly tired but this doesn't effect the experience. The cabins are a good size, beds very comfy. Plenty of draws and wardrobe space. The cabin is cleaned and new towels bedding every day.

Dining room very nice, with great service. The entertainment diary wasn't fabulous but the entertainment staff are.

The staff really made this cruise for us. The staff on the R Bar are so professional and friendly. From day one they remembered our names and what we like to drink. The dining staff were equally as good, even though we confused them by changed places on the table every night.

Port Reviews

Venice

Really liked Venice. we stayed on the mainland because it was much cheaper. The train was very easy and cost 1.25 Euros each way from Mestre.

Once in Venice its not too big and lots of lovely streets to see. A Gondola ride was cheaper than we thought @ 80 euros. Food and drink in general was an average price. We used a great taxi service , prebooked from our hotel to Venice port and we were so impressed we booked him again at the the end of the cruise to take us to the airport. www.In-Itinere.com. Good price , friendly , helpful , reliable and well maintained vehicle

Koper

Lovely little town but not much to do. We had wandered round in about 2 hours.

Split

Beautiful town with lots of things of interest . We just wandered about the streets and then took a walk right to the end of the harbour and found a lovely small green park with remains of a monastery. Lively and a great vibe. Coffee reasonably priced.

Good 20 min walk from the port to town though

Dubrovnik

Really liked it here. We took the local bus ( 6 euro return) from outside the cruise port to Pile gate. Beautiful town with narrow cobbled streets. It was about £12 to walk the perimeter wall but well worth it. beautiful views from all angles. Also did the cable car about £15 each return but again great views

Athens (Piraeus)

Been to Athens before and done the main sights. If it is you 1st visit you must see the acropolis and olympic stadium. Hop on off bus is great. Because we had done it all , we walked to the local harbour and had a coffee. Small beach by the harbour if you fancy that

Bodrum

Unless you do a tour we couldn't find much to do here. Literally took a walk and stopped for lots of coffee. There is a castle and museum and a harbour.

Kotor

Really liked Kotor. Never heard of it before. Hop on off bus is not worth 20 Euros. Not enough to see. We climbed 3000+ steps up to the old fortress. Fantastic views but strenuous if your fitness is not good. Took about 2 hours
