We chose this cruise because we live only a 25 minute drive from the Baltimore cruise terminal so it was highly convenient. My husband, 6-year-old twin daughters, and I enjoyed our balcony cabin #7178. It was quiet and the view was fantastic; we would choose this same cabin again. Overall, we LOVED this cruise! Every bit of food that we ate was excellent. No complaints whatsoever in the food category. We ate in the main dining room for dinner every night and it was awesome. We enjoyed the buffet options on Lido for breakfast and lunch... also awesome.

The ship is beautiful! We really enjoyed the 2.0 upgrades which we had never experienced before. The vast majority of the employees that we encountered on board were friendly, helpful, hardworking folks. There were only a few things that were disappointing and I will touch on them now. The embarkation process was an absolute nightmare. According to rumor, there was an issue with the fire marshal the morning of embarkation. Whatever the reason, embarkation began hours later than normal and everything was at a standstill. We arrived at the time we were supposed to (12:30) and literally stood still in an obscenely long line for 2 hours before things finally got moving. It was horrendous. We finally boarded about 3 hours after arriving to port.

Another problem was the Camp Carnival kids' club. The facility itself is tiny and unimaginative, and most of the activities repetitive and dull. The manager of the kids' club is a guy who doesn't seem to really enjoy spending time with children. Needless to say, my kids did not want to spend much time in there.
