Our friends asked us to join them and even though we sailed April 2015 on the Reflection we are happy we did because everything was better than our last year's transatlantic cruise. The food in the dining room was up and down but still better. Having said that the rest of the cruise was great. The staff and crew, the entertainment , customer service plus everyone was so friendly and even officers chatted with us.
Our cabin was a forward balcony on deck 8 and was fine even though the drapes could be replaced. Some of the ports were return visits for us but we always find new places to explore. On this transatlantic cruise we took the time to find tapas and paella. Speaking of food we understand all the main stream cruise lines have to cut somewhere and each one cuts what ever is best for their passengers. Even the specialty restaurants weren't as good when we went back with the discounted rates.I guess we got what we paid for.
Having been on luxury cruise ships of course we prefer a smaller ships where it is hard to find anything to complain about being retired we now have the time butnot the money.
We took the bus then walked around talking pictures and exploring which is our favorite pass time in small port cities.
Loved Malaga and this is where we found the tapas which was on our bucket list. We pretty much walked the whole city and even climbed the whole fort which is a hike.
