It was the only cruise line that did the Hawaiian Islands in 7 days. There were 4 of us in the Owners Suite (room 12000) The room was lovely and the only drawbacks were no electrical outlets in the bathrooms and no sink in the bar area. The other quirk is the see through toilet door in the Master bath. There are times when a solid door is a necessity......just sayin'
The positives were that the Food was excellent, the Service was excellent. The entertainment was very good. I will say I thought the pool area was "blah" almost institutional in decor. Nothing to make you feel like you were in Hawaii. Beige, blue and blah. I was surprised at how much my Sister used the pool area and agreed that the pool area was lackluster but after a couple of pricey $$$$$ drinks the blah was diminished.
We had a free Ultimate Dining Plan and used it 5 nights out of 7. I thought the service in the Main Dining rooms were as good as the specialty dining rooms, no long waits. Of the specialty restaurants, I liked Cagney's the best ate there x 2. I would skip Moderno's, every meat was garlic enhanced missing the true flavor of the meat. Le Bistro and Teppanyaki were very good too. We skipped La Cucina and chose the main dining room twice. I don't know if I would pay for the specialty dining, but it was nice as a perk. I am not a huge foodie and do know that I don't base my cruise choices based upon the food, more on the itinerary.
We rented a car $30.00 and drove to LaHaina and visited Whalers Village on day 1. On day 2 in Maui we walked to local shops and around the dock and beach area at the port.
Rented a car and went to Volcano National park and the Green sand beach. The cost of the car through Costco/Budget was about $50.00
Walked around Kona after tendering in from the ship. Great Snorkeling right next to the pier. Sisters went shopping and all had a good time.
Good time and great views.
Mostly walked the beaches in Waikiki and shopped. No formal excursions. We did snorkel at Hanauma Bay.
