Snorkeling with the dolphins in Roatan

We chose this cruise because of a paranormal group that was going. I didn't participate much with them.......I spent most of my time with my family. We were split up into 2 suites: the deluxe owner's suite and the 2-bedroom family suite with balcony. I enjoyed the space of the DOS but preferred the layout and balcony of the family suite. Our butler, Constancio, was THE BEST. He was friendly, extremely attentive, and responsive to anything and everything. We came upon our room with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, fresh flowers, and our preferred selection of alcohol. Constancio brought an afternoon snack everyday between 2 pm - 3 pm. Patrick, our room steward, kept our room clean and was fun to talk to......always upbeat! He left the cutest towel animals for my daughter. She absolutely loved them!

I found service to be good overall however my suitemates complained of poor service, particularly in the Venetian dining room. The food there was ok but nothing spectacular. I only ate in there once because I took advantage of our specialty dining package. Speaking of......my favorites were Sushi, Teppenyaki, and Moderno. All of them were great but I wanted to narrow it down to my top 3. Make sure you are hungry when you go to Teppenyaki and Moderno because there is just SO MUCH FOOD! The grill was pretty much what you would expect but I think it was definitely better what I have experienced on Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

My absolute biggest praise goes to the way NCL handled my daughter's special services. Everyone was absolutely helpful regarding my daughter's wheelchair but I was especially please with the interpreters they provided for her. The ASL interpreters, Susan and Mandy, were THE BEST! The were cheerful, helpful, and always available. We would work out a schedule each evening for the following day (including shore excursions) and they were always prompt and worked well with Mercie to make sure proper arrangements were made for the shows. It is important to me that my daughter has the best and most inclusive experience possible. They will forever have my gratitude.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

We bought shore excursions via Shore Excursioneer. This port was a nice surprise. A small fishing village but definitely more scenic than I expected.

New Orleans

Parking at the Fulton garage is convenient and affordable.
