Family members had signed up for this cruise & others joined in. Total 23. A niece has pretty severe food allergies (big long list) and my nephews girlfriend has gluten allergies. My time dining but had reservations at 5:30 every night but 1 when we got there close to 6pm. Table 44 &45. Our 2 dining room servers, Siddhesh & Kamel were FANTASTIC!!!! They worked with the 2 to come up with great meals, made suggestions and even surprised them with special desserts. Kudos to the Chef! The 2 servers were constantly in motion, refilling water, offering more delicious rolls, sweeping crumbs off the table, clearing the table... Wished they had the chocolate lava cake more than once and offered the bread pudding and vanilla custard sauce more than twice in the Windjammer. Heard they had it at high tea but that was too close to dinner.

We had a junior suite, 1316, and it was plenty roomy. Lovely room that connected to my sister's room, 1312. Were able to slide a balcony side wall so that they connected there, too. Would have been nice to have the curtain in the sitting area go all the way across the room rather than 1/5th. Junar, our room steward did a great job as well. Kept the vanity cupboard filled with at least 12-13 champagne flutes each night as family gathered in our 2 rooms for pre dinner drinks each night. Were able to call for a toilet seat riser which helped my mother greatly. The walk-in closet was amazing and helped keep our room very uncluttered. Sadly they canceled our St Thomas tour but I ended up buying the last 4 day drink package. They did offer the last 2 day drink package for $115 even though they said you had to buy a 4 day minimum pkge. The shows were great. Liked the Olive & Twist lounge. Loved the Starbucks frappachinos with the Baileys or Bourbon shot!

Walls and doors are metal so we brought magnets and decorated our door (Happy Birthday theme for my Mom) and interior walls with cards and decorations. Also help us easily find our rooms as they all tend to look alike. You are allowed 4 bottles of liquor if it is made on the island (St Thomas or St Maarten) plus 2 regular ones. Sadly you couldn't bring it to your room to drink. Though they did bring it about 6:00 on the last night so you could pack it. Recommend Sangsters coconut creme rum and Old Mans Guavaberry or Mango liquor. Magen's beach is a must but know that there aren't any beach chairs, just a fee picnic tables. The beach at Cocoa Cay (beneath the water) was VERY uneven & full of holes making it VERY tricky to walk. Was hard to see thru the water where the holes were. Had to take very small tiny baby steps to feel you way thru the water. Fell once, but luckily it was about mid thigh deep and didn't hurt myself. We were able to embark quickly and because of the suite, bypass everybody. We stayed and waited for a wheelchair for Mom and got off the ship at 9:30 rather than 8:15. Much better going thru customs that way too. Went to deck 4 to get on the W/C list. My mom is 89 and never would have made all that walking. She did 7,800 steps the first day and that kinda wore her out. She was so happy to leave in the W/C. Also liked our room location on 10. Close to the dining rooms and WindJammer.

St. Maarten

So hot and humid! Nice that they had carts to take the elderly and handicap from the ship exit to the shops. Mom might have made the trip to the shops had we known that. Bonus for having that available but minus points for not letting people know that beforehand.

St. Thomas

Ship excursion cancelled due to Black Beards was closed. Just shopped at end of pier. Family members said Megan's Beach was the most beautiful beach they had ever been too. But no lounge chairs. Just a few picnic tables. Had to pay $5 to get into the beach area.
