Quick getaway just the Repo San Pedro to Vancouver. Boarding was painless. Went to our rooms and found that they did not set them up as twins, as requested. Made the phone call and was corrected by bed time. Our section (E710) always seemed to be the last to get service, eg our Disembarkation materials didn't arrive until after lunch instead of in the morning. Other than that cabin service was good. The room struck me as small, we could not pass each other round the bed or in the hallway. Limited drawer space for clothing (but big hanging closet). Virtually no storage in the bathroom. Shower is too small, with only an overhead and no hand held spray you can't rinse off all places on your body! Good TV selection within range.

Food in the Horizon Buffet was good variety, and the coffee is fine! However I did not like waiting for a waiter to bring you setups (they were behind on embarkation day). Also the only free cold beverage for self serve is ice tea. You had to wait for a waiter to bring you lemonade. No other flavored teas. Hot teabag selection was good, some Twinings brand. Often our table was skipped by the waiters, so had to flag one down. Vegetarian, Chinese, and desserts were strong points. Was pleasantly surprised to see rack of lamb at the buffet last night. Found communication with servers to be pretty good in Horizon (better than in the MDR). Main issues is lack of seating space at times. They don't open up the whole dining area, and at times even that isn't enough. There are no trays to carry your own food out to the deck.

MDR menu was okay, sometimes it seemed too limited. Only place you can get the real ice cream (excellent) and it isn't allowed to carry out. Service was slow and not always attentive when a modification was requested it wasn't always correctly done. Food came out cold, greasy, or overcooked several times. Tea service was chaotic, we skipped it the second day. Sitting at a big table, it took so long to fill it, that only the first couple was served tea before the pastries. For the rest of us, we got lukewarm tea after most of the items were served . Scones weren't great anyway. Went the first day and didn't go back. By the end we were eating in the Horizon Buffet and I just went at the end of dinner for dessert only.
