My wife and I so enjoyed our 13 night Med cruise on the beautiful Britannia. I do hope that my review will help all the people who have committed their hard earned cash to sail on this ship and read a lot of frankly ridiculous reviews! This was our 29th cruise in 23 years taken with Royal Caribbean, P&O, Celebrity and Oceania. Over the last few years every ship that we have sailed on has been dogged by bad reviews most recently Celebrity Summit and P&O Oriana. We enjoy all our cruises researching carefully before making a booking – we do not compare the ship that we are sailing on with other ships - we just enjoy each ship for what it has to offer.

Britannia’s design is contemporary, sophisticated and elegant and quite different to any of the other ships that we have cruised on and in short it was a very nice change. The much reported issue with the lack of a central staircase is valid but it didn’t worry us too much with a cabin at the back of the ship.

Our cabin was on A deck and very pleasant. We particularly liked the “walk-in” wardrobe with lots of hanging space. The shower room is quite small but the glass enclosed shower itself is quite spacious. Much has been written about the small balconies but there are 2 chairs and a table with room to sit - so no problem at all to us. As ever our stateroom attendant Nevys looked after us extremely well.
