Britannia Review

Great people, staff, food and entertainment but the flagship felt very short.

Sail Date: May 2016

This was my third cruise, each time we went with different cruise lines as we wanted to try a few rather than just stick with the one cruise line. We also wanted to have something to compare against.

The Britannia is supposed to be P&O's newest and most extravagant ship to date....sadly it did not measure up to the hype. I know it is just my own opinion, but I found the ship fell short in the wow factor.

The biggest disappointment for me was the atrium area. On the other ships we have been on, this area has been the main hub of the ship with bars, music, reception lifts and beautiful staircases at the heart of it....this is not the case on the Britannia, the lack of lifts and staircase is well documented, I will just say that the two coffee bars, drinks bar and boring seating area (on deck five) was a wasted area that lacked soul and atmosphere.
