I've been on several Carnival cruises and this one was one of the best. My expectations weren't that high I must admit. I had read some negative reviews and I thought that the ship being older and smaller would greatly affect my enjoyment. I'm so glad I was wrong.

Because this ship sails out of Charleston the ship has many passengers from the east coast mostly North and South Carolina. This made for some very friendly fellow passengers. The overall "rudeness" from passengers was very low. The staff was very friendly as well. The cruise director Benjamin Lambert is one of the best young cruise directors, being very energetic and very out going. He was everywhere and always talking and mingling with passengers. He definitely is a strong asset to Carnival.

I thought the boat size would mean more movement than some of the bigger ships but I was wrong. This ship rarely moved or swayed. I've had rougher cruises on the Breeze and Dream. Being a smaller ship means that walking around the ship is easier. Once I figured the best route to get to places on the ship, it was super quick and easy. The only negative is that there might be less things to do. Yes the casino is smaller, and doesn't have a large serenity deck. There is no Guys burger, and the buffet lines get a little long but it didn't really become a big negative.
