We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were so very pleasantly surprised at the fantastic experience based on the on the online reviews we read. Yes, the ship is older, but we loved the ship itself, the bathroom; it was pretty big actually with the partitions and fish tiles; quirky. When we had a problem with water draining slowly in the shower It was dealt with immediately. The balcony is adequate, but not spacious by any means but it worked. (cabin 11066)

The staff was exceptional! Norman in the Martini bar is worth a mention. Cruise director Dave, outstanding. We liked the food; it was warm when it was supposed to be, little waiting in line, tasty and plentiful; reservations in the main dining rooms were easy to get. We did not eat in the specialty restaurants. I think we noticed some noise the first night and 2nd morning from deck 12 activities but it was not a problem. We loved the convenience of the location on the ship.The overhang from deck 12 on the balcony was actually a plus it never interfered with anything.

The shows were awesome and we got there on time for the 9:30 but got there earlier for the 7:30 ones. We especially love the daily trivia games, newlywed game and perfect couple game. The only negative was the seagulls and their droppings on Great Stirrup Cay. I have cruised before on larger ships and different cruise lines but we would take another trip on the Spirit in a second!
