Let me start by saying I was very nervous about sailing with Celebrity as my previous journey with them on the Summit to Bermuda was not my favorite trip. Well Celebrity has completely converted me!

We flew to London a night early to visit with my family and took the train to Southampton. Easy to get to the port from the train station. There were plenty of taxis available but it was also just a short 10 minute walk. Embarkation was very fast, no queue at all. It was rather cold but sunny out some had a cocktail outside and I loved the blankets provided, made it very cozy. We were in our room by 1pm and our luggage was there by the time we got to our room and met our concierge Singh and room steward Dui. They were both amazing and made the trip even more enjoyable.

The Silhouette was a beautiful ship. I thought our room was very spacious and immaculately clean, which matters a lot to me. We ate in the buffet, main dining room and Qzine and were never disappointed. The food was always delicious. The drink service in the buffet was astonishingly quick. We have been sailing quite often on a different line in their suite class and the service for the suites wasn't even as attentive as the buffet on Celebrity.

Port Reviews

Oslo

Oslo was great. I would get an Oslo pass as soon as you arrive as this gets you on all public transportation as well as into some museums, definitely worth the money and makes life easier. Easy city to get around. So much to see. The new waterfront area near the cruise ships is a great place to sit, enjoy the views and have a local beer.

Copenhagen

The hop on hop off tourist bus does leave from the port so you don't have to buy the tickets from celebrity but are led to believe you do. We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guards which is at 12pm every day. Definitely try to catch it, it is worth it. Loved the canal tour too.

Amsterdam

We chose to spend an extra night in Amsterdam as we were flying home from here and all I can say is I just want to go back, it just wasn't long enough. Get an Iamsterdam pass for travel on public transport, one canal cruise and discounts at lots of museums, etc.
