ABOUT US: My wife and I are in our early 30's, in good physical condition, love good food, and love to explore and discover "real gems" while we're on vacation. We are adventurous and cruise with the intent of getting the best while getting the best bang for our buck!

EMBARKATION: We flew into Honolulu International Airport (HNL) and after we picked up our luggage, we walked outside and there were airport staff dressed in yellow uniforms. They directed us to take the "Roberts of Hawaii" bus to the cruise dock. $6 per person each way.

Check in began at 12:00pm, not sooner. We got luggage tags at the initial check-in counter and dropped off our bags with the Pride of America (POA) crew. After we showed our IDs, confirmation papers, and our credit card, we got our room cards. I bought a fresh orchid and plumeria lei for my wife ($7) and headed to the ship. As we stepped aboard, we were greeted with sparkling wine and orange juice in champagne flutes.
