I am surprised at the discontent expressed by people in their reviews which I have just read. I have been on four other Princess cruises and my friend I travel with seven. We found this to be an excellent cruise as per usual with Diamond. We boarded in Singapore where we had been staying three nights at Raffles. Consequently we found our balcony cabin to be very claustrophobic the first night after our suite at Raffles. However, we got totally adjusted to it. Our cabin steward was very efficient in a very unobtrusive manner.
We had any time dining and never had any problem getting a table for two. However, I do agree with another review here that the tables for two were so close together in some areas it was just like sharing with another two. There was plenty of space in the International Dining Room to space these tables out better. We did not enjoy being placed so close to one other couple one morning for breakfast.
Apart from a couple of meals, i.e. Beef Wellington which was awful and Red Snapper which was totally overcooked, the food was excellent although we did feel they had gone a little overboard with "presentation" rather than quality. It was also rather a shame they had taken away some of the "perks" i.e.the free Lemon Cello they used to have on Italian night.
