Stayed three nights in Rome before departing. The embarkation and disembarkation both went smoothly. The ship was very nice and clean. The staff everywhere were extremely friendly and courteous. Just after we got to our original cabin 6216 we were asked if we could move to accommodate a family with children who wanted to be close by the children. We agreed and got upgraded to room 2173 which was a concierge room on the 12th floor. Mario was our cabin steward and he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had the select seating and never had to wait for a table. That was really a nice feature being able to eat whenever we got hungry. Took two dinners in the oceanview buffet and that was good both nights. Ate one dinner and one lunch at Murano and both meals were excellent. Got one dinner at Tuscan Grill and we were a little disappointed. The filet was "mushy" on the inside and had an unusual flavor. Saw one good show Elysium and a good magician. Also a good Motown group. Other than that we did not care for the shows.

We took shore excursions and enjoyed most of them. Would not recommend the shore excursions in Bodrum. Not much there other than a castle. The boat tour we took after the castle was a waste of time. In Santorini took the Aktori ruins and Oia tour and wish we had skipped the ruins and spent more time in the two towns there. The Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii excursion in Naples was very good but exhausting and wish we had more time at Vesuvius. Also the free time was at the end of the tour around 2 pm and we had not eaten lunch. Really enjoyed Crete and took the "Real Crete" tour to several small towns and enjoyed shopping for small gifts in the towns. Epheses was very nice and enjoyed the tour and lunch afterwards that was included. Had planned to rent bikes or ATV's in Mykonos but it was very windy so just walked around the town.

We would definitely recommend this cruise.

Mykonos

Very windy and skipped the beaches we had planned to go to on scooters or ATV's. Enjoyed walking around the old town and shopping. Had a nice lunch. Did not see a need for a booked shore excursion.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Stayed three nights before the cruise at Hotel Savoy and enjoyed walking all over Rome.
