It was our first time travelling to America from Australia and my husband and myself with our two teenage boys chose the Anthem of the Seas as we wanted to cruise to the Caribbean and also see New York so we found that Royal Caribbean International sailed from Cape Liberty which made our trip easier as it was less travelling by plane.

This was our third Cruise and first time with Royal and as everyone who has cruised before would know is you compare your last cruise with the next. First impressions of the ship was amazing from first sight but was let down a bit when we came aboard as no one knew where to go and we couldn't drop our carry on bags into our room until 1pm. No one told us where things were or how or where we would get our cabin keys or any information about what to do. But come 1pm we made our way to our room and everything was there, pretty straight forward from then on.

The ship was so big and took us days to work out where everything was and if you were waling to the front of the ship or at the back. So many things to do on board and you could choose to get involved with everything or like us take it easy and relax in our balcony suite or near the many pools or bars.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

heaps of cupboard space for four people who had heaps of luggage because we were away from home for a month. Bed was cozy and pullout sofa bed was a bit hard for the kids but they made do. Bathroom had heaps of room and always cleaned

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

very informative

San Juan

took an hour island tour with taxi waiting at the end of port and they were very informative about the island and only cost $10 a head
