My wife and I are regular cruisers and are now Platinum on Princess. We chose this cruise because it was highly discounted - we have been to all the locations before. We enjoy cruising as much as the ports of call. We toured with another couple who helped make the trip enjoyable. We have had mixed luck with dining with people we have met on board.

The food was only average but we always found something good on the menu in the main dining room. We ate at the Crown Grill one night and it was excellent. Unfortunately, it highlighted how ordinary the food in the dining room actually is. I will probably reserve multiple trips to premium restaurants on my next cruise. One night the men ate separately from the two wives. It turned out my wife and I had ordered the same thing. She loved hers. I hated mine. I think mine may have been left standing too long.

As usual, I went to the gym the first day for my cardiac exercise, and after getting on the stationary bicycle, was asked to register and pay $13. It was embarrassing to get off and walk the deck instead. So it seems that now there are spin classes, and you can only use the stationary bicycle if you are in spin class. I haven't been able to find any info about this change and what fitness facilities are still free. It must be new, because I have used the stationary bicycle before.
