This cruise was recommended by House of Travel and in some aspects we were disappointed as we were told that as long as we had evening wear on we could dine in any of the restaurants on board. This was not true and we were refused entry to the International Restaurant for our evening dinner. We missed the scenic viewing of Oyster Bay due to poor weather with no apology from the captain. The embarkment ticket said we could board between 12 and 2.30 but when we got to the ship was told we could not even stay in the queue until 2 pm. Tickets should show a better time scale of being allowed to embark because had the weather been wet we would have got soaked as there was no shelter until passing the first check-in attendant.

Food was good in the buffet restaurant which we were forced to use every day and I must admit it was varied. Deserts were basically the same though and mainly small cakes.

We did, however pay the extra fee to use the Steakhouse restaurant on 1 ocassion. This was less appitizing than the buffet and was certainly not worth the extra $29.
