We extremely enjoyed this cruise, it was my husbands 1st time cruising on NCL. The Dawn is a medium sized ship. Restaurants are spread throughout the ship so we didn't feel like there were large crowds waiting to be seated. We did eat at the specialty restaurants as it was part of our cruise package deals. First time we had experienced a restaurant opened 24/7 on a cruise ship. The Blue Lagoon has a limited but good menu for a quick meal or a late snack. Husband enjoyed the casual freestyle cruising without needing to dress up if you don't want to. He did bring a sport coat for the French Restaurant La Bistro but other cruise critic members said that it wasn't really necessary to wear a coat or tie. The Dawn is going into dry dock for a facelift in a couple of weeks and we will book another cruise on her soon.

The entertainment was one the best with such variety and talent every night, our favorite was "The Elements" (We did miss 1 show out of the 7).

There was always something to do if you need to stay busy. Plenty of places to hide away during the day for quiet reading. I liked that you could walk completely around the ship in the open air on the promenade deck.

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

It gave us a little more depth on our balcony which I appreciated having the lounge chairs to stretch out and relax on in the evening breezes at sea.
