Day 1 This was our first cruise and did not know what to expect. Embarkation was quick and easy. We were on board around Noon and our first stop was to purchase a soda package for my DH. We then immediately went to the Windjammer for lunch. Being new we did not realize that there were different foods at each station but figured it out pretty fast. Our cabin was ready just a little after 1 PM. Cabin was very nice and clean and more roomy than we expected. However, bathroom was a little tight on space. Read on CC that storage space was limited but in our D3 balcony cabin I did not find that to be the case. I took an over the door shoe storage unit but it was unnecessary. The sail away party was a blast. It was a little windy on the upper decks but tolerable. We went to the MDR for dinner and met our table mates. We had a table for 8 but there were only 6 of us. Our table mates were delightful and the food was really good. My DH and I both had the prime rib. We had thought about switching to MTD but after meeting our table mates we were glad we did not. Our servers were wonderful - Roseller and Carol. We missed the first night activities - motion sickness medication and alcohol do not mix well. We slept the entire night away.
Day 2 This was our first full day at sea. We had breakfast in the WJ and it was pretty good. Being from the south we did find the biscuits to be inedible though. I went to the ShipShape Center and spent a few minutes on the treadmill. The equipment was in good condition. The center was extremely crowded though - there was only 1 treadmill available. We spent most of this day lying around the pool deck and soaking up some sun. I read of couple of other posts complaining about the misbehaving children around the pool. We did not experience this. We did not get out too early and did have a more difficult time in finding chairs. We had dinner in MDR again and the food was pretty good.
Day 3 This was our day in Cozumel. We had a later breakfast in the WJ and it was not quite as crowded as on day 2. I had pancakes and they were okay. My DH had the eggs, potatoes, and bacon and he said they were good. We booked an independent tour with a private cab driver named Gerry. We had a great day. We wanted to see as much of the island as possible and Gerry was very accommodating. My favorite part of the day was the visit to the Tequila Tasting Tour and the visit to the east (wild) side of the island. We returned to the ship a little after 1 PM and had lunch in the WJ. It was not as crowded and we were able to see more of what was available. We went to the ice show before dinner and it was great. We went to the Karaoke but did not stay. The ship was rocking pretty good and we were not feeling very well.
Our cabin was great. It was more roomy that I had thought. It was in a good location. The storage space was sufficiently adequate and the balcony was very nice.
