Sail Date: Apr 2016
Cabin: Aft-Facing Penthouse with Balcony

This was our sixth cruise with NCL but the first on one of the bigger ships. We had wondered if we would enjoy it as much as the smaller ships, but after taking a day or so to get used to the layout we found it easy to find bars/restaurants etc. (especially as most of these are located on floors 5 -7).

Embarkation:

Being from the UK we flew into Barcelona on embarkation day. I had booked a transfer to the port with Sun Transfers and, after a bit of confusion in finding our driver (I had expected him to be holding a 'Sun Transfers' sign but it was something else), arrived at about 1.30 p.m. Embarkation went smoothly and, as we were in an aft penthouse suite, were given a tour of the Haven and Spa before having some much needed lunch. After that we found our suite, settled in to that and went to explore the ship.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Balcony

I had read a lot about the cabin layouts on this ship and was not too surprised at what we found. My DW, however, was amazed at the 'round' bed. Unlike in the Suite we had on the Star, there was no separate dining area as such. There was plenty of storage room though.

Although not an issue for us, I could imagine people with mobility problems finding it difficult to get in to and out of the shower/bath as the lip is quite high.
