plenty of things to do to pass the time when sailing. Carnival did a great job of providing options for people of all ages at all times during the day and night. We visited Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau. Bring about $100 per day in cash and expect to accrue/spend at least $1000 for two people, for drinks and some meals on elegant night. You're limited to 2 bags per person so pack accordingly. Unless you and your spouse can drink $100 per day in alcoholic drinks don't buy the endless drink package.

The food and options for food is plentiful and varied. Guy Fieri's burger place was awesome. order the water bottles online BEFORE you go to the ship. bring dramamine or get scoplamine patches from your doctor. Bring a good book to read. The cabins are small but you don't need a lot of room. Make sure you read the rules and regulations on the website before you get on the ship. Duty free shop on board has great prices on liquor. Bingo games and the casino were the hotspots. You will need your drivers license and cruise "sail and sign" card to get on and off the boat.

Carnival did a great job of accommodating everyone but getting people off the ship for the port of calls was a cluster, drawn out, and unorganized event they need to work on. The only other negative was that it was very easy to overeat. 8 days on a big boat was plenty. If its your first cruise i would recommend a 5 or 6 day cruise to try it out first
