We booked this cruise at the last minute, and after reading some of the reviews on this site, we were a little anxious. We were pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful cruise.

We love leaving from San Francisco, because we don't have to fly.to catch the ship

The embarkation was swift, and we were in our cabin 30 minutes after we arrived at the pier. This was our first time in a balcony cabin and found it very comfortable. The ship, the third oldest in Princess's fleet was actually in much better condition that we expected. Yes there is some rust, on the balconies, but the carpeting through out the ship looked great. In the cabins a little steam cleaning would freshen the carpet, which showed some dirt in the corners where it's hard to clean. The elevators were a little slow, and did show some wear. A visit to dry dock is needed in the near future.
