Celebrity Reflection Review

Lovely cabins but the upsell parts of the ship take up soooo much room.

It's a lovely ship there were parts I liked and disliked much like anyone. So let's start with what I liked because that's harder that complaining usually. Our cabin was fantastic I thought with a comfortable bed and the veranda spacious. Everyone has a favorite bar and ours was the Sunset Bar at the back of the ship. We found the back of the ship to be much calmer than the front and not as many people seemed to congregate there I think because it's past the Lawn Club area. And the bartenders while I'm sure they told the same jokes every cruise were friendly and funny. I found the MDR to be more than fine and the service was good. This may be a little mean but it depends on what you want from a cruise right ... there were hardly any children to be seen on board so if you're thinking of doing a family cruise I doubt this is the line for you honestly although they'd get one on one attention from the children's staff but I doubt I say a dozen kids the entire cruise. The trivia lady, bingo lady, and putting contest lady ... same person for the ones I attended ... was fantastic and the most friendly person on board.

So what didn't I like. Like everyone before me the constant upselling is so annoying. I think Celebrity has gotten the hint we weren't asked near as much about upgrading the drink package as some others have complained about. And if you're wondering you can certainly find things to drink on the classic package. But ... there is a definite class distinction aboard Celebrity it's something that hangs in the air. There is at least a deck's worth of areas in various locations that are for upselling which could be used for regular guest entertainment. I found this ship didn't have as much for regular guests to do in the way of entertainment.

And as long as I'm on the entertainment part the shows were abysmal or at least the few we saw were we stopped going after the 2nd night. I've seen better high school productions. I entered a Black Jack tournament in the casino while at sea ... it was so poorly organized and that's not just from me all the players were complaining before it started they had one table for 30+ players it took forever. Last but not least I'd heard it was a good idea to look into future cruises onboard. I stopped in and the guy who talked to me made me feel like I was totally wasting his time while I asked questions. Our conversation lasted 5 minutes he was so rude I felt so small I just wanted to leave.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah 2C

Cabin 2C

So we had the partially obstructed view cabin and if anyone is wondering about that it's not anything to worry about if you're looking to save a few dollars. I would book it again and also try for the little hump the veranda seemed somehow more spacious and we faced the back of the ship as we sailed away. The bed was quite large I though and the room clean and spacious for a cruise ship the cabin was excellent
