Precursor - We are experienced cruisers (Carnival and Royal Caribbean), more experienced travelers in general. This was our first Princess cruise. We are 45, 40, 24 and 17. The following review is a compilation of our experiences.

Arrived in San Juan one day early and stayed at the Caribe Hilton - nice hotel, lovely pool area, pretty beach (not good snorkeling though). Stayed in the tower, which had very comfortable beds and a great bathroom with a huge shower - very nice, but spoiled us for the teeny shower on the ship! While the amenities here are good, you certainly pay for them - the hotel is a little expensive. ($300.00/night) Great Pina Coladas! Food is good, but expensive as well. Expect to pay at least $25.00 per person for breakfast if you eat in the restaurant. Overall - You get what you pay for. Expensive but good.

Embarkation - Smooth as silk. Arrived at the Pier at 4 pm and were in our stateroom by 4:30! Best embarkation ever.
