This was our first cruise, and it has spoiled us! The embarkation at Vancouver was very easy, the Concierge Cabin line went quickly. The champagne and escort to our cabin was a nice touch. The cabin itself was nicely appointed, fresh flowers, plenty of cabinets, drawers, hangers and a wonderful veranda for the two of us. Our adult son and daughter stayed in an adjoining cabin, so we usually kept the door open between them.

We thought the food was great, and plenty of choices for our vegetarian daughter. There were always plenty of stations without long lines. We ordered room service breakfast once, food was good, but awkward to eat all of that food with our limited table space. The rest of the mornings we ate at the buffet. Lunches were either buffet or the outside grill. Kids ordered room service almost every night and enjoyed the pizza.

We ate at the specialty restaurant one night and felt it was well worth the $30 per person, the service, music, and food were terrific. Three of us went to the spa on our first sea day, 2 had the stones treatment and the other a combo facial and massage. The staff was nice, we went away refreshed and relaxed. The daily newsletter advertised quite a few interesting packages later in the cruise, so watch for those.
