We chose the cruise because of the itinerary - German waterways and that was everything we hoped for. Great stops at Flensburg, Travemunde, Hamburg and Bremen and peaceful and scenic cruise down the rivers and Kiel canal. At all ports we did our own thing so cannot comment on excursions.

We had a superior suite on deck 7, roomy with sofa, two armchairs, loads of storage space and really large balcony. Bathroom with bath, shore over bath, twin basins and wc. Some might find the bath an wc cubicle a bit narrow and there is a high threshold on the door, very dated compared to more modern ships. The hot water can get very hot and is potentially dangerous.

There was a kettle for tea and coffee and a fridge full of the usual high priced mini-bar drinks. Bottled still mineral water supplied free.

Superior Suite

Cabin SS

Spacious, good bed, excellent balcony although deck above shades it. Bathroom ok, but water can get dangerously hot. Excellent storage. Not enough electrical sockets, a single and a double by the desk, European fittings only although Fred Olsen FAQ says US style as well.

Suite dreams package not really worth having apart from bottle of cava wine and £10 per week allowance towards laundry, and that cannot be used on the laundry bag offer!.
