Sail Date: Apr 2016
Cabin: Concierge Class 2

We chose this ship to return to the UK with very little knowledge of it, this being our first cruise. We picked a Concierge Class cabin on deck 11 mainly to get the priority embarkation and a few extra goodies but as we booked in January (3 months before) we had very little choice of cabins.

Our itinerary was Miami, Nassau, Bermuda, Lisbon, Southampton but we were unable to call at Bermuda because of a nasty weather system so after Nassau we sailed straight to Lisbon via a quick call in the Azores to evacuate an injured passenger (the ship was only alongside for 20 minutes)

Having arrived a day early in Lisbon and not getting off the ship until 3pm it would have been nice to have a second day there but we left at midnight for Le Havre in Northern France which was a poor substitute for Hamilton Bermuda. It did however give passengers chance for a day excursion to Paris some 3 hours away.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

When we first arrived at our cabin we thought it was small but it swallowed up all our luggage under the bed and there was plenty of wardrobe/closet space. The bed was very comfortable but the sofa (which converted to a bed) was not so.

We had one cabin above us and above that was an overhang near the stern which blocked the sun onto our balcony during the middle of the day.

The shower and bathroom were excellent with neat cupboards for all our toiletries etc.

Our room attendant was a lovely lady and very helpful and friendly. The standard of cleaning was very good.
