Sail Date: Apr 2016

We are two young at heart grandparents traveling with our two grandchildren (grandson 7 and granddaughter 6) during school vacation week in the Northeast. After a short uneventful drive from MCO, we arrived at the cruise port at 12:00. Our PAT was 12:00 - 12:45, we breezed through check in and were on our way to the ship. After being announced and applauded (the kids LOVED this!) we went to Deck 5 to sign up for princess meet & greet tickets. Although the line was long it moved quickly. Since we didn't have sunscreen on we opted to go to The Enchanted Garden for a lovely buffet lunch. After lunch, the kids signed up for the Midship Detective Agency located right outside the restaurant (they both enjoyed this for the duration of the cruise) We enrolled both in the Oceaneer's club, but only my granddaughter went. During the cruise, she participated in Super Sloppy Science and Anyone can Cook. It was good for them to have time away from each other as well.

Following lunch (1:30 pm) our beautiful balcony cabin was perfectly located mid-ship and was plenty big enough for 4. We quickly changed into swimsuits and sunscreen (the sun is strong even in the late afternoon) and headed to the pool deck. This was where you could see how crowded the ship was. Chairs were at a premium and the pools were packed, but the outdoor movies were a big hit. The sail away party was great. We were off on our adventure!

Full disclaimer, we had been in Florida all winter so this was a special trip with the kids and EVERYTHING we did was kid-friendly. We had early dinner seating and so we headed back to our cabin. Luggage arrived promptly and we unpacked and headed for dinner in the Royal Palace. Your dinner codes are on your Key to the World card. R= Royal Palace, A= Animators Palate, E= Enchanted Garden as well as your dining time and your table number. Dinner was great. I've read complaints about the food, we are foodies and we were very satisfied with the choices and the quality of the food. We headed to the Golden Mickey's, the kids loved the show. It didn't hurt that they were selected to be in the show. We also saw Michael Harrison (Ventriloquist) and Believe. Believe was our least favorite show. The performers were talented, but It just wasn't high energy enough for us.

Castaway Cay

The kids were a perfect age for this (6 & 7) they loved feeding the stingrays and snorkeling with them.

Nassau

I am not a fan of Nassau.
