Overall we had a great relaxing time. We enjoyed the Unlimited Dining Plan, which I believe is no longer sold. Cagneys and Moderno's were our favorites. I learned to ask for little to no pepper on our food since all the meats were heavily coated in pepper. The embarking process needs to be fine tuned. The Port of Miami needs to study how the cruise lines or Disney handle large groups.
I was with a group of about 28 ranging from infant to 60ish. Everyone enjoyed themselves, some more then others. My 18yr old son had a tough time though. The teen club went through age 17 so he is considered an adult but the 18yr old girls etc... wanted to hangout with the 21 year old guys. He did attend some of the 18-25 mixers but he said they were not well attended and boring. He stopped going to them.
The three of us were not big excursion people so we just walked around Tortola and went to Cabbage Beach on Nassau. The cab to Cabbage beach was $4 per person. If you are going to the public beach make sure your driver is bringing you to the beach entrance and not the entrance to The Atlantis. It is a short walk to the beach but I would have preferred being dropped off there rather then finding our own way from The Atlantis hotel. On St Thomas we spent the day at Abi Beach. A small private secluded beach, well worth the very reasonable fee. You can arrive by boat or by car. You can find them on Facebook or on Trip Advisor for more information. Definitely one of the highlights of the cruise for us.
The cabin fit our needs perfectly. The bed is near the sliding door to the balcony. Being on the 15th floor we were worried about being under the pool deck but since we were forward we had other suites above us. There was absolutely no noise heard from the neighboring or above/below cabins. There was more then enough storage for out clothes and suitcases. I brought along magnetic hooks and clips from our home refrigerator to use on the cabin walls. My husband and son hung up their baseball caps on the hooks, keeping the limited counter space free. I also clipped the map of the ship and the dailies to the wall for all to see.
ABI Beach. Look it up on Facebook and Trip Advisor. Best day of the whole trip
