The overall service and cleanliness of the cruise was great. All the staff were also very friendly and made the experience pleasant. Would recommend.

However, Norwegian Epic could be more transparent with their added fees. We were quite shocked to pay an exorbitant shuttle fee for ports such as Marseille where pedestrian access to the city was nearly impossible. Same goes for Civitavecchia (Rome) where several shuttle buses had to be taken just to get from the boat to an accessible point of the port and it came with unnecessary shuttle fees as well.

The costs for cruise taken photos were also very expensive given that all the photos were printed as 'samples for purchase' only to be discarded once the cruise was over. A complementary photo would have been a nice touch for all cruisers.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Be prepared to take several shuttle buses to get from the train station to the boat and vice versa. There are no clearly marked signage.
