This was my first time cruising. I traveled with my husband, Mother-In-Law, and Father-In-Law. Overall, it was a wonderful cruise.
We flew in Friday and stayed at the Holiday Inn near the port. We went exploring in Bayside and it was a lot of fun. It was a fun way to spend a Friday night and we were all really excited about our cruise.
Embarkation was easy. We got there by taxi around 9:45 and were in group 14. We boarded around 11:30ish. Our rooms were ready early afternoon (we were still eating lunch in O'Sheehans which took a while because the kitchen wasn't ready for us at noon when we got there but they let us sit down in the restaurant). Our luggage was delivered around 4 I think.
Cabin Review
Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom
The cabin was nice. It was mid-ship which helped with my motion sickness. The deck was perfect because we could easily take the stairs going both up and down. The bed was near the closet which was tight. My In-Laws were in 13244 next to us and had their bed by the balcony and it seems like they had a little more room. Funny enough they preferred our setup because they liked having the sitting area near the door because it felt bigger to them. The bathrooms were nice and I could comfortably wash my hair, something I'd been told is hard to do in a cruise ship bathroom. There was plenty of storage all around and I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable everything was.
