This was my first cruise in 15 years, and my husband's first ever, and we loved it. We would definitely go with Royal Caribbean again in the future. The cruise staff was great - very helpful and friendly - and we really enjoyed the games, such as name that lyric, bingo, 60 seconds to win (which we got pulled into), and especially love and marriage - that was hilarious. The dining room food was very good, and our steak at Chops was amazing (although the "jumbo" scallops were not jumbo :)). We also ate at the Italian restaurant once, but of the two we preferred Chops. We enjoyed Windjammer for the variety and convenience, and that it was casual. (we didn't want to dress up for formal night). The fruit and vegetables were very fresh. We love sushi so we were really happy that we could get some at Jade any evening we wanted.

I can't say enough about how great our cabin location was...we were in one of the new panoramic window rooms. We were on the top deck, so we never had a problem getting an elevator. We also enjoyed going out onto the deck, which was only a short hallway away. The view was amazing - right on the front corner of the ship, great views of all the ports. Made for some great pictures, right from our room :)

The bed was very hard, that is my only complaint about the room - my back hurt a lot. But now I know to bring a foam mattress pad or something next time.

Cabin Review

Larger Panoramic Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin P1

the room was a great size, and the panoramic windows gave an amazing view. The location couldn't have been better. We were on the 12th deck so we never had to wait for elevators, plus we could go down one flight of stairs to get to the pool deck. It was very convenient. Our only complaint was that the bed was very hard. Next time we will know to bring a foam mattress pad. Our cabin steward was very nice. The room was worth every penny, and we would definitely book it again.

Port Reviews

Galveston

We live close to Galveston, so not much to say about it.
