This is my fourth cruise, the first with P&O. I will start with the positives; smooth embarkation, stunning scenery.

The rest - well where to start. The food on board was borderline inedible. We chose second sitting in the Oriental Restaurant. Food was served Luke warm, no effort on presentation by surly waiters. On night 4, my partner ordered Lamb. The meat that was served was basically all gristle, totally inedible. Chips were cold and vegetables overlooked. Pasta in to at sauce was basically pasta swimming in tomato soup. We asked to speak to the restaurant manager who refused to come to the table. My partner had to go to find him! We lodged a formal complaint and there was a dramatic improvement th following night with food being served hot.

The buffet was like a school canteen. Curry served every day. Salad consisted of a bowls of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and grated carrot, the serving areas were dirty. Fresh juice is only served at breakfast - at all, other times it has to be paid for. Very limited variety with food stations offering the same basic choices. Desserts gone hard from sitting under lights. Dreadful!!! I asked the head chef what options were available for vegetarians - his answer "vegetable curry".
