Viking Sea behind sail boat in Toulan, France
Viking Sea .Berthed in Toulon France.

One of the best Ocean cruises we have ever taken. With only 960 passengers there is never a crowd in the public spaces or the restaurants. The food was abundant, great variety (lobster, sushi, crab legs, steak, chops, fresh fish and sea food, full breakfast, some of the best herring in the world, hot dogs a foot long, hamburger's and sprits never stopped flowing during lunch or supper. The service was excellent throughout the ship with pleasant and timely response.

The staff evidently has been trained very well since this was only the second leg of the Viking Sea's maiden voyage. We only saw one minor issue where a gangway had to be repositioned. The ship was very comfortable, stable and quiet. We have taken five Viking River Cruises and this by far was the quietest, never ever felt the ship arrive or leave its berth.

Very well thought-out which in our opinion nothing missing. This ship is well suited for the Adult mature cruiser and not one for young families or even teenagers. There was a nice mix of ages from the 40's to the 90's. The ship even accommodated passengers that used walkers or electric carts.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Love the heated floor in the bathroom, plenty of space and a good sized shower with plenty of hot water. The size of the cabin was great with a nice size veranda. Your refrigerator was restocked daily at no charge, The WiFi in our room only worked for two days before quitting. The IT staff did not have any spare parts which on a new ship I find not acceptable.
