We chose this cruise because the ports were all places that we wanted to visit. Venice was a wonderful place to begin our Mediterranean adventure. We enjoyed a the old port and a gondola ride complete with a three quarter moon and music from the opera house! Croatia was most beautiful and surely interesting with the filming of "Game of Thrones" and the newest "Star Wars" movie. We loved Montenegro, Greece and Turkey. The excursions were planned to exhibit the most famous venues and capture the uniqueness of each city. Santorini was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. However, it would be difficult to say which port we enjoyed most. The beauty of the region is legendary, and we can attest that there was no exaggeration in the descriptions of its magnificence. The entire area is very lovely.

The accommodations aboard the ship were excellent. Our cabin with its veranda offered us relaxation while enjoying the magnificent scenery. Dining was always pleasurable offering local fare as well as more traditional cuisine, well prepared and delicious. Nightly on-board entertainment was superb and made the cruise exceed our expectations. The service could not have been better. The on-board laundry was extremely handy, and we were able to travel with less luggage. Viking ships carry fewer passengers making excursions easier and boarding and reboarding is easier.

We very much enjoyed the entire trip. We wish we could have toured the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque but I understand the decision to cancel the Istanbul tours.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

Our king-sized bed was very comfortable. The amenities such 110 plug-ins were appreciated. The bath was beautiful. There was a refrigerator which was stocked with extra drinks and a bottle of champagne! The veranda provided a retreat late in the evening and a morning coffee bar. The service could not have been better.
