Our cruise on the Dawn was one of our best vacations. The 7 days went by so fast starting with the embarkation. We carried our own luggage cutting out any wait time. Once aboard, Finding our cabin for the first time was a challenge, but after that the signage made navigating the ship fairly easy. Our Oceanview cabin was convieniently laid out; and he cabin steward always anticipated our needs.
With many choices of where to eat, we found the complemententary dining rooms served excellent meals. The service was very good. We didn't participate in the late night activities, but did enjoy the professional shows.
We chose the dolphin excursion in Cozamel. It was the highlight of the trip. We also bought my husband a replacement wedding ring. Negotiating with the vendor was a hoot. Also, I suggest Señor Frogs cantina. The next stop was Roatan where we went snorkeling at Tabayana Beach. THe reef was beautiful with plenty of fish to see. In Belize City, my husband took the zipline-cave tubing excursion. I didn't participate due to extensive climbing, which I could not do. He had ziplining on his "bucket list." Lastly, in Costa Maya we shopped the small town area. We struck a deal on a Molvado watch at Diamonds Intenational. IN addition to it being discounted, you can get an 8.9% rebate.
We live 4 hours away so did not do any activities. Suggest parking at Fulton Garage. Fairly easy in and out
The highlight of our trip. Selfeshly it was too short, but was well organized and of course he Dolphins were amazing. NEgotiate, negotiate, negotiate on the photos. You can get them down quite a lot.
Ziplining was on bucket list. The lines weren't very long, but was fun.
