We chose the 7-day Gems of Spain for a short getaway, and it was perfect. Embarkation was hassle-free and fast. We had a Signature Suite and loved the size - especially the double sink in the bathroom. We attended the embarkation lunch, and our luggage was in our room when we returned from lunch. At first, we had a small issue with cleanliness in our bathroom, but it was fixed immediately and with prompt checkup from the head of housekeeping. We had breakfast in our room several times, and it was served on time. Dinners in the main dining room were just fine - food quality and service, and we had several lunches in the Lido Market which also were fine.

Our last Holland America cruise was on the Rotterdam, and we noticed that the Eurodam is in much better shape, especially after the cabin upgrades.

We did not go to any of the special entertainment events except the Lincoln Center Live, and the string quartet and pianist were excellent - top notch (and we are musicians).
