This is our 9th Cruise and since we live in the Bay Area, it was great that embarkation was at Pier 27 in San Francisco. We took the Royal Princess Maiden voyage from Europe and we were impressed by the service. Thus we decided to go with Princess Cruises again.

The Grand Princess does show signs of aging as evidenced by the rust between the balconies. The maintenance crew were always busy painting and keeping the ship spotless. Both embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. The staff were true professionals. Our room steward, Miguel, was excellent! He always kept our room clean and tidy.

We opted for traditional early dining at the Botticelli and our waiter, Rex, and asst. waiter, Albert were simply wonderful! They anticipated every desire of the guest from our table though we came from different parts of the USA. Their head waiter, Thomas, was great, too. We thoroughly enjoyed the shows of the Princess Singers and Dancers. Though it may have been short for most people, it was just perfect for us. Dan, the Cruise Director, did a great job in his choice of professional entertainers. Zumba with Cass was a great start for the day and the Tai Chi Class by Geof was really relaxing.

Kauai

This is the Garden Isle, we do love the Fern Grotto.

Maui

Perfect for young couples who do water sports. Spend a few days at least. Not just a day.

Ensenada

Not worth seeing.
