We're a family of five (kids aged 14, 12, 9) on our 6th cruise. Never had a bad cruise, and likely never will. Criticisms are all minor (none came close to interfering with our enjoyment of the cruise).

In past cruises, we've been in every different cabin configuration you could think of (single family suite, two inside cabins, one inside/one outside) and decided to splurge on one of Norwegian's Courtyard Villas. We noticed that reviews of these rooms were few and far between, so wanted to share our experience with the villas.

Embarkation is always a crapshoot we find, and this was easily the worst in cruising experience. Got to the dock around 12:30 and waited in the line for 15 minutes to get into the building. My daughter pointed out the VIP sign which I had been told about, but we could have easily missed it. We were led to a small room, which quickly became crowded with other suite holders. After another 20 minutes or so, we were escorted on to the ship in a very confused fashion and led directly to our room. I think I'd have been happier just going through the regular line!
