Sail Date: Apr 2016

We were back to back passengers on this cruise, having sailed on the prior cruise, the March 26 sailing. We were in a Suite Class accessible cabin on that cruise and for this, moved to a handicapped accessible veranda class cabin. Due to a physical disability and our accompanying equipment, it is imperative that we have an accessible cabin, and it disturbs me when I see on roll calls that people that are not disabled are given an accessible cabin. But, I digress.

We have done many back to back cruises, but this is the first time that we changed cabins. I was very pleased with how smoothly the process went! We had to pack our toiletries and items that were in the drawers but clothes that were hanging we kept on the hangers - you leave all of your things in your cabin. On the crossover day, if you are changing cabins, the new cabins for the back to backers are cleaned before any others, and the stateroom attendants then move your things for you. Our new cabin was ready for us at 11am.

We however, weren’t ready for it, as we had booked a full day private tour of Puerto Rico, but it was good to know that it was ready if we had chosen to stay onboard. When we returned to the ship around 3pm, the boarding process took maybe 2 minutes. There is a special window for the back to back passengers to pick up their new Seapass card, no line, boom, smooth as silk, streamlined, and back on board we were, to find all of our belongings in our new cabin, clothes hung in the closet! It only took a few minutes for us to set up the bathroom, put our clothes in the drawers, and we were able to resume the fun. Our cabin was great, as expected, up to standards - near the elevator but very very quiet.
