We hadn't been on a cruise for 8 years. So, we figured it was time. We decided on a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas. There are 3 cruise lines out of Port Canaveral. Our daughter had been on Carnival. We didn't want to do a Disney cruise as we thought there would be too many kids. So, we settled on Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas.

As many others have said about embarkation, it was simply a breeze. Couldn't have been easier. We got on the ship around 1100 AM. Had a leisurely lunch on Deck 5 and waited until about 1PM for our stateroom to be available. The food at the Windjammer was typical buffet. Nothing special but nothing bad either.

I will say this ship while clean, was showing its age. Nothing offensive. Just certain things jumped out and looked like they had seen better days. Crew was always cleaning something on the ship.

Port Reviews

Nassau

It wouldn't have bothered me if the ship docked somewhere else.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We're locals from Orlando so we didn't do anything here but eat breakfast.
