Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

My husband and I cruised with friends. We took a cruise from Auckland to Sydney on another cruise line on which we have no status so there were no benefits.

We are Diamond members with RCCL so we are Elite with Celebrity. The benefits of the status adds a fun addition to the cruise.

We boarded the ship with our friends, so they were able to experience priority boarding. It made the embarkation easy. Our friends have no status on Celebrity so we missed most of the Elite events because we did not want to leave our them. Dee, the Captain's Club hostess let us bring them to happy hour once so they could experience that benefit. It was on the night we left Moorea with beautiful views so they enjoyed it.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2C

Cabin 2C

It was a nice cabin with enough storage for our clothes. It did need more space for luggage storage. Our room stewards were excellent.

Port Reviews

Lautoka

This was a frightening experience. We took a cab to town but the driver wouldn't stop to let us out. He kept asking to take us to places quite a distance from the ship. We finally told him to take us back to the ship.

Suva

This was a Sunday so a lot of the town was closed. This is an average tourist town.

Bora Bora

We rode in a van with six people plus tour guide and driver. There was no air conditioning so we drove with the van doors open.

Moorea

Very small port with a grocery store and post office.

Tahiti (Papeete)

This is a modern city with nice streets and stores.

Sydney (Australia)

We stayed in Sydney for four nights so we were able to get on the Hop On Hop Off bus to enjoy the highlights of the city.
