This was our 5th Cruise with Carnival - 2nd time on the Victory (1st time was 6 years ago) - just the 2 of us this time - no kids to worry about. We did Faster 2 the Fun, we have found this to be worth the $50 - you get priority boarding, room is ready and suitcase arrives promptly. We were in Cabin 7431, which is at the aft of the ship. Oversized balcony with 2 chairs, table and sun lounger. Room was great - usual Carnival style, 3 closets, bathroom with shower etc. Room was clean, maintained well - hairdryer I am sure was from the 1940's!! If is there more than one person who wants dry their hair I would recommend bringing your own dryer - that is about the only gripe I have. Room is definitely suited for 2 people - 3 would be extremely tight.

Cabin steward, Viktor, was great. We did not use room service, ate in the dining room for both breakfast and dinner every day. Food was fine, we did order from the steakhouse menu on our last evening and it was well worth the $20. I had the lobster tails, which were perfect and Hubby had the surf and turf - again steak and lobster cooked to perfection.

We did not do any excursions, just got off the boat and wandered the 2 ports we docked at - Freeport and Nassau, at Nassau you can easily walk to Junkanoo Beach - 10 minutes, we didn't feel unsafe or threatened - that maybe a different case if you were walking it at night, but we were not bothered by anyone trying to sell us anything - we enjoyed the morning at the beach, and then wandered the shops. There is a straw market there and the women do call you to come in and take a look but that is about it.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Cabin was clean and well maintained. Definitely suited to 2 people - 3 would make it a tight squeeze in my opinion. Quite and balcony was private and in addition to the usual 2 chairs and table we also had a lounger.

Port Reviews

Freeport

I would recommend probably looking to take an excursion from here - there were plenty of taxi cabs with listed prices going to the beach, Port Luycana etc. A few "shops" in the port area but not much else.

Nassau

Nice shopping area, 10 minute to Junkanoo Beach where you can hire loungers for the day, sea looked clean and was relatively warm for swimming.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Port Canaveral - didn't take any excursion here.
