This was our 17th cruise with NCL in less than 5 years, the first 16 were just wonderful so we were really looking forward to this cruise also. After this cruise I can say that the Jade is the worst, and not an NCL standard. Most of the staff in common areas were rude, and did nothing to make you feel welcomed. We have been on the Jewel, Pearl, Epic, Getaway, Sun and Sky and have never encountered such a non caring rude bunch of workers.

We were in a balcony cabin, it was comfortable and what we expected. The first time we have cruised when we didn't feel the need to tip extra to our room steward, since he only did the basics, we told him before we left the ship on an excursion at 8AM that our laundry was ready to go down, he said I will take care of it, at 6PM it was still on his cart, so of course we didn't get it back the next day.

We tried to make reservations for dinner for the week, the first day on the ship and was told nothing was available all week until 8PM, and that we should have made them online, which we would have but their site wouldn't let us on, lucky for us Malik (maitra-d at Cagney's) was there, he asked how everything went making reservations, my husband said not good and told him what happened, he said come to Cagney's at the 5:45 time we wanted and he would make sure we got in. To our surprise when we got there, most of the tables were empty. Also surprised at the Al-a-cart menu, would much rather they raised the flat rate price than making you pick and choose what you want, made the whole experience more stressful when all you want on a cruise is to relax and have fun.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Bus took us to Playa Mia Grand Beach resort where we did the cooking class with Luis, we made a 3 course meal which we got to eat, a fun day with very good food and margaritas

Belize City

The water was so clear you could see the fish swimming. It was at a resort area, plenty of shade and places to sit on the beach. You could buy food and drinks at a reasonable price, We enjoyed the day
