Overall we enjoyed our experience on The Pacific Pearl. The dining was OK (especially the Waterfront restaurant), but, found the Plantation restaurant convenient altough a bit of a "bun fight".... causes mainly by certain passengers who just cannot wait their turn and some who have the basic habit of eating off their plate while waiting in the queue.

Entertainment at night was of good standard, but the overall feel of the ship gives the impression that P&O are most interested in getting you to spend in the bars on board (obviously a huge part of their income at quite high prices) Music , generally, was good, but, far too loud ... helps to encourage the drinking I guess !

If you are intending to book onshore tours with P&O and are a first time cruiser with them you need to book online as soon as the tours are "released' so as to get the ones you want. In Tonga we booked ashore tour online with TONI'S Tours ... a good choice and great tour with a few other passengers
