So glad we decided to take a last minute cruise. Very good deal that we could not pass up. Stayed at the Embassy Suites the night before the cruise. My husband dropped me and the luggage off and then went and parked the car at the Fulton St garage. Easy walk back to the hotel and the charge was a total of $104 for a Saturday until returning the following Sunday (hotel was $40 per night/valet only). Next morning, we just rolled our luggage a couple of blocks and the porter met us and took our luggage. Southern Hospitality was everywhere.
Room was ok needing a refresh but for the price we were pleased. We did not eat in any specialty restaurants since this was a low budget. Regular dining and buffet was good. Did splurge for breakfast room service. We brought in 3 bottles of wine (paid $15 a piece) but I enjoyed my Rombauer wine costing less than on the ship. We brought a small suitcase of bottled water and diet cokes. We cleared out the mini fridge and stored our own drinks.
Pool and deck area was relaxing and clean. Services was excellent. Staff were approachable and always willing to help. We saw a couple of shows but really wanted to chill. Only recommendation would be a few more TV/movie channels. We do like to just stay in bed with our balcony curtains open and watch TV.
We did balcony guarantee and were pleased. Room was smaller since previously had a balcony suite on Holland. Surprised coffee pots were in the room and I doubled the packets for stronger coffee.
Friendly and entertaining city
By far the best beach day resort. Hope to go back.
Easy beach day resort with transportation included.
Best friendly people. Natural beach with lots of seaweed. Staff constantly trying to clean.
