This was a wonderful cruise - something you will never forget. The rooms are great, good food and love that you get free drinks with lunch and dinner. Met some wonderful friends and the crew was friendly and polite. There were a few waiters that were not up to Viking standards but most were wonderful. Carl, our cruise director, was quite funny and excellent with his info. We really did not get into the entertainment because we were pretty tired every night.

The excursions keep you busy and we saw so much. Passau was our favorite port. We did have to change ships due to low water but it was not an issue and they more than made up for it by giving us all a free lunch in another town. Quite a treat!! We have to say that the staff on Viking Ve seemed to be better all around than the Gefjon we transferred to. First time we had cruised on a smaller ship and they have spoiled us for sure. So easy getting on (we had done a three day pre visit to Prague) and the bus ride was very comfortable -when we got to the ship there was no waiting - no rushing.

We cruised from Budapest (beautiful city) to Amsterdam. Cruised out of Budapest at night - stunning!! The ship was always being cleaned and every time you went on an excursion they would give you some water to take along. The stewards were awesome and always had our room spotless. Everything was great!! Viking definitely has it together in river cruising. Really didn't need a balcony since was pretty cold most of the time. We would love to do it again.
