The dates of the cruise suited us perfectly and due to the location hoped for better weather than the Med, however due to extreme weather this was not to be. The weather did not deter us from enjoying our holiday and exploring every port. The Norwegian Epic is a beautiful ship and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on her, so much so that we paid two future deposits, my only criticism would be we just needed longer to enjoy all the varied facilities and restaurants on board. The check in and boarding was quick and well managed with relatively quick access to staterooms bearing in mind the size of the ship. Our Cabin Steward Joey was fantastic, friendly, efficient and always time to say hello and remember our names. We stayed in mini suite 11081 a perfect size for 2 adults and a teenage girl of 14 with her 12 pairs of shoes to which she added during the cruise. There was ample storage even with a teenage Imelda Marcos with us (joke for those old enough to remember her).

Thanks to the cruise critic website we met some lovely people who we are hoping we may catch up with in the future and enjoyed some non Norwegian organised group shore excursions.

If you have time and want to really relax look out for the Spa deals, the Mandara Spa is well worth the visit.

Cabin Review

Family Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M2

Plenty of room for three - would highly recommend,, amazing storage not even we could fill it all up and we do not pack light, on our last cruise we had a balcony cabin this time the mini suite gave us that little bit more space, this gave everyone in the family that bit more personal space. The European bathroom arrangement was not a problem at all for us, so if a close family do not let it deter you at all from the Epic she will wow you in so many other ways.

Port Reviews

Tangier

Great Day, Visit to the Souk and the Medina then out to View points and Camel rides followed by trip to the Caves of Hercules, quite a leisurely day with late lunch in restaurant near the port. Great day arranged by CruiseCritic member.
